Resonance is a talented modern acoustic duo specialising in rock/ pop covers to suit all occasions. We’re available for private and public functions. We’re currently in the process of recording an EP and we’ll have new tracks and video’s recorded very soon. We plan to be gigging throughout cornwall this summer.
We hope you enjoy listening to our music as much as we enjoy performing it.
"Thanks so much to Resonance for helping create a truly wonderful evening at Couch's Polperro for my birthday on friday. You formed the perfect accompaniment to our meal.Sarah's lovely voice and James' masterful playing strumming out our favourite songs in your own low key and non intrusive way. You are a very talented and flexible duo and I hope we get to hear you again someday. Look forward to seeing you go from strength to strength over the coming years..."

I must admit before going any further, that this is not my usual cup of tea musically, I get close to it occasionally but not this far. Always good to have some change though.
Resonance is an acoustic duo based in Cornwall comprised of the couple James Manley on guitar and Sarah Billington on vocals. They originally formed in 2010 and jammed some songs from the charts, but soon expanded their range of covers and have begun writing their own music to boot. You can find some examples of their covers on their Facebook and ReverbNation sites.
Their influences are some of the most diverse I have ever seen within an acoustic duo. Having known James on a personal level, he was never far away from his Children of Bodom t-shirt, or jamming Avenged Sevenfold on his Ibanez. But diversity is good within bands; at least it is to me anyway. From a brief look at their covers list, they draw a perfect circle around the charts and around some good ol’ classic tracks. From the charts corner we have tracks like Grenade by Bruno Mars, Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri and the infamous Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon. Whereas the classics side, even contains some metal to an extent mind you such as Bullet for my Valentines Hearts Burst into Fire, Evanescence and one of their all time best known tracks Bring me to Life and Thin Lizzys’ famous track (also done by Metallica) Whiskey in the Jar. But don’t judge on these tracks alone, go to their Facebook and have a gander and a listen! Also check out where they are playing next, it could be anywhere near you! The will also be making an appearance on NCB radio sometime this month performing an acoustic set and discussing music as a whole.
